Data Center Public Hearing 📢
Vanessa Lech participated in the Public Hearing on June 25th, 2026 at the Spartanburg City, South Carolina Memorial Auditorium. 📢 Here is Vanessa Lech's data center position:
I don't want a data center or this permit approved anywhere I live or where I work. I do both in Spartanburg.
I also want to point out that, its very clear because I've been going to a lot of governmental meetings, including the county level in Spartanburg, that these data centers in general are wildly unpopular and unwelcome.
I haven't heard from NOT one person in Spartanburg that come to any of these governmental meetings that I've been going to and say they want a data center here. Quite the opposite. People have been pleading to get rid of these data centers and to stop them from showing up and taking over the precious natural resources that we need to survive and to live.
I live in 3rd District, Spartanburg City. There's a lot of quality-of-life issues there already, a data center is only going to make that exponentially worse.
